Vision & Values

Allora started because we had a vision to offer a point of difference in the wellbeing sector. Founder Lauren Taddeo saw an opportunity to provide specialty trauma and attachment therapy services, framed by neuroscience knowledge. The Allora team have been chosen as specialists in their field, aligned with our core vision of ‘inspiring connection’.

  • Lauren is the owner and director of Allora. She has 10 years experience in Mental Health, across public and non-government sectors. As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Lauren specialises in the treatment of various mental health difficulties. Her specialist interest area is working with children and adults who have experienced complex trauma, including work between parents and children to repair relationships and empower families to thrive.

    Lauren has a warm and empathetic nature, aiming to provide a therapeutic environment where clients can feel supported. Lauren has completed extensive training in trauma and attachment therapies including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Theraplay, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Family Therapy. Lauren also has specialist knowledge in neuroscience that she uses to inform her therapeutic practice.

    Lauren is a Medicare provider under the Better Access Scheme and a rebate can be claimed for her services if clients have a Mental Health Care Plan (obtained from a GP). In addition to therapy, Lauren is available to provide clinical supervision to other mental health professionals and is trained in the PASE© supervision model.

Alex Olsen

Alex has capacity for new clients on Mondays.

  • Alex is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 18 years of experience working with adults, children and families. She has a particular interest in working with people who have experienced complex trauma and enjoys using somatic or body based interventions that support trauma integration, healing and recovery. Alex has completed training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Theraplay, Dialetical Behaviour Therapy and Emotional Freedom Therapy (tapping).

    Alex is committed to supporting children to feel connected within their families and a sense of belonging within their broader communities. Recognising and developing children’s sense of competency and agency is a key goal of her therapeutic framework.

    Alex is compassionate and curious, providing a space for people to feel accepted and seen. As a parent herself, her hope would be for parents to recognise and enhance their strengths so that they can be the parents that they would like to be.

Elissa Craig

Elissa has capacity for new clients on Wednesday and Fridays.

  • Elissa is a warm and empathic therapist, allowing clients to feel seen, heard and accepted. Elissa is passionate about seeing people embrace who they are and to live a life that is nourishing to their soul.

    Drawing from over 15 year’s experience working with children, young people, adults and families, both within Australia and overseas, Elissa is particularly interested in working with people who have experienced complex trauma.

    Elissa operates from a holistic, strengths-based perspective, with her psychotherapeutic approach incorporating knowledge from human development theories, systems theories, creative therapies, Circle of Security, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Talking Mats, Narrative Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

    Elissa is also experience in clinical supervision and particularly enjoys working with clinicians in the mental health, child protection and family intervention space.

    Elissa offers online therapy only at this time.
